With the help of your spiritual mentors, draw a “spiritual family tree” that might look like an ancestral one -- showing the spiritual “parents” and “grandparents” who came before you and encouraged you to find & grow in Christian faith. If applicable, list not only your spiritual roots, but people who have come to faith or who have grown significantly due to your influence (i.e. your “spiritual children”). Who on this family tree do you know personally? Who do you not know or only know by reputation? Seek to learn the story of a person a few generations back -- such as the person who helped your first spiritual mentor come to know Christ. Imagine the impact you may have, years from now, just as that that person had on you! If you’re not able to draw such a tree for yourself, imagine being the roots of a tree for someone to come.
